I love a good period drama on TV, but I have never thought about reading one. Betrayal did not disappoint.
Lady Jessica Walker is my favourite character. Having an epiphany that there is more to life than living off her parent’s wealth and waiting for the eligible bachelor to come along. She is a headstrong woman who knows what she wants and doesn’t let anything stand in her way even when betrayed by someone she trusts.
The story between Lady Jessica and Maisey itself keeps you guessing. Lucy comes in adding a whole new level of emotions.
Patricia Randall keeps you gripped throughout and even when you think it’s over…..there’s more!
This is a quick moving story which I believe would appeal to readers of period drama, crime, mystery and many more.
